NQF Level 1 (Grade 9) with Mathematics
The purpose of this qualification is to equip learners with the essential knowledge and skills required to support kitchen and service staff in the preparation and serving of food, as well as in maintaining cleanliness in food preparation and service areas. Upon completion, the qualified learner will be proficient in aiding kitchen and service personnel in food preparation and service tasks, as well as in hygienically preparing and assembling food items, and cleaning food preparation areas to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
